The Beatles

Hey Jude' has been revealed to be the UK's favourite Beatles song, following the addition of the iconic band's back catalogue to iTunes earlier this week.

According to The Guardian, 'Hey Jude' was the most downloaded song by the group, following the first week of sales.

The report claims that the second-highest seller is 'Let It Be', but that it is a long way off the sales achieved by Paul McCartney's classic anthem.

The release of the Beatles' albums on Apple's iTunes store has been under dispute for a number of years, with an agreement finally enabling listeners to legally download the band's music.

Tonight's X Factor show follows a Beatles theme in celebration of the release.
