Ms. Splosion Man has been announced by Twisted Pixel.
The follow-up to the 2009 platformer will see the scientists finally capture Splosion Man but inadvertently create a female variant in the process.
"I think with Splosion Man a followup was something we really wanted to do, and that is why you never saw DLC for that game," CCO Josh Bear told Joystiq.
"We could have churned out new levels, but we wouldn't have had the time to add in new gameplay puzzles or cool new character stuff. But we didn't just want to do Splosion Man 2, it had to be something a little more interesting. That is why we decided to do MSM."
It was added that the idea is an homage to Ms. Pac-man, in that it will offer similar gameplay and visuals but everything would be "more polished and better all around".
The game is likely to be released on Xbox Live in 2011.
