As her beauty fades, perhaps the glare of the spotlight will, too. 

That's the not-unwelcome future that Angelina Jolie sees for herself, as she considers her hectic life as one of the most hounded women on the planet. The Oscar winner, 35, says she doesn't really understand all the attention she gets, but she knows she's not alone among celebrities. 

"I don't find myself that interesting in that way," she said Tuesday on NBC'sToday show. "But I feel like it happens to everybody. It's just that it's a weird time right now. There's just so much of all of that, for everybody. It's just, it's a new world." 

But she has an out. Eventually her youth will desert her – and with it, perhaps, the cameras. "I just assume the older I get, the more it'll go away," she says. "The more private I'll become." 

Jolie also returned to a favorite topic of recent days – her fondness for Johnny Depp, her costar in The Tourist. "He's as lovely and as interesting as you could hope for," she says. 

And she chats about her six kids with partner Brad Pitt – in particular, how she imagines they will feel several decades from now, looking back on their childhoods. 

"Hopefully they are happy, and they know that they were loved, and that they were encouraged to be who they are, and not pushed into something that they're not," she says. 

"Hopefully they'll be the strong, beautiful individuals that they are today, and be happy in their lives, be fulfilled in their lives, and be living their lives honestly.
