Alesha Dixon has claimed that she does not mime during performances because she would "feel really fake" doing so.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge performed her new single 'Radio' on the BBC show earlier this month and told Metro that she would only consider miming early in the morning.
"The only time I lip sync is when I do breakfast TV, because I have to get up at 4.30am and my voice isn't awake," she said.
"I hate miming. Sometimes you do TV shows where you have to because they're not set up for live vocals, but I feel really fake doing it.
She added: "I want to connect with the audience and you do that by singing live."
Dixon releases her new album The Entertainer next week.
