The Stig from Top Gear
BBC Worldwide has announced a series of mobile apps as part of a new digital business strategy.

Doctor Who: The Mazes Of Time, Top Gear: Stunt School and Teletubbies: My First Appwill be self-published by the firm for iPhone and iPad, according to MCV.

There are hopes that all digital revenues will account for 10% of BBC Worldwide's output by 2012.

"Games are massive in this. 1973 was the year we started out in our magazines business and it was as if we had a new limb," said digital director Claude London.

"So why wouldn’t gaming be a £50m plus business for us over the next few years?”

Doctor Who: The Mazes Of Time will be available in early December while the Top Gear andTeletubbies apps will follow before the end of the year.
