A source close to the star told TMZ that Lindsay was granted a "one-day pass" to leave the Betty Ford Center to celebrate the national holiday.
It is thought that the actress left the Rancho Mirage facility early this morning, but must return to rehab later tonight.
Apart from her father, Lohan will also apparently be joined by several of her friends for the holiday.
It was previously reported that Lindsay's mother Dina allegedly declined an invitation from ex-husband Michael to join the celebration.
Lohan is currently serving a court-mandated stay in rehab until January after failing a recent drug test.
