Tom Jones has revealed that his gospel-inspired album Praise & Blame was part of a promise he once made to Elvis Presley.
According to WENN, Jones wanted to release an album of gospel hymns ever since it was suggested by Presley during a jamming session.
Jones explained: "We would stay up all night talking about music. He was surprised I knew gospel songs and wanted to know when I'd record a gospel album. I said I would and this is it."
The album reached number two in the UK album chart in July.
