The star of the Go Compare television adverts has revealed that he is releasing a charity single in a bid to land this year's Christmas number one.
Wynne Evans, who plays tenor Gio Compario in the popular commercials for the price comparison website, said that he hopes the song will appeal to children.
For every sale of the single - entitled 'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' - 25p will go towards the Teenage Cancer Trust, reports The Sun.
Evans said: "Gio has become an instantly recognisable figure and a character that children love.
"We know that they love to sing along to the Go Compare song. We hope they will enjoy the single in the same way."
Earlier this year, Evans was forced to defend the controversial adverts against accusations that they are "annoying".
'Santa Claus Is Coming To Town' will be available for download from Monday.
