The singer, who recently dismissed reports that she was quitting music, revealed that the LP will recorded at her own place and be 'of the moment'.
On her next studio set, she told the LA Times: "I’ll just have to fit it in while on tour.
"No rush, no deadlines, just create - see what I’m feeling, see where the music goes. I want to see where I am in my life at that moment."
Discussing her last release, the retrospective Number Ones LP, she said: "My albums were my journals. I don't normally go back and listen to my music unless I'm working on a project or it's a tour. But it made me really smile and reminisce a great deal, so it was nice."
Jackson recently admitted that she prefers acting to singing.
