Justin BieberJustin Bieber cancelled an appearance on German television last night after a stunt accident earlier in the show left a young man severely injured.

According to Gossip Cop, Bieber had been scheduled to perform on the long-running German show Wetten Dass, but decided not to take part after fellow guest Samuel Koch was injured during an earlier segment.

Koch had been attempting a dangerous stunt in which he would jump over a car using special shoes and a unique suspension system. However, the stunt failed, and Koch suffered a number of injuries and fractures.

"An accident has taken place and we all don't think it's right to continue," Bieber later wrote on Twitter. "Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family as we wait and hope for his health and safety."

The singer promised his German fans that he would reschedule the performance for another time.

Koch's injuries are no longer thought to be life-threatening, although he is still being treated as 'critical'.
